Red Dead Redemption 2 – Take my money Rockstar!

Red Dead Redemption 2

For the lovers of the Red Dead Redemption series and ardent gamers in general, the Red Dead Redemption 2 is something that you can really look forward to this coming October. The game has already been nominated as one of the most anticipated games in the Game Awards in 2016 and 2017 as well. Being the third entry to be published by Rockstar Games, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available to play on the Xbox and Play station 4.  There will be a single player option as well as the online multiplayer option for those who want to play with and compete.

The game focuses on how outlaw Arthur Morgan lives, rides and fights to survive in the kill-or-be-killed Wild West as an outlaw in a notorious gang. The game aims to capture the transition from the outlaw age and into the modern civilization. The scenes in the game are set in the American Hartland and frontiers littered with harsh mountainous terrain and even denser forests. This also includes treacherous swampy marsh and extremely harsh deserts. There are also predators out in the wild that can be smart and deadly.

The player gets to play Arthur Morgan, outlaw of the Dutch Van Der Linde gang and lead the rest of the gang as they run from the pressures that come with the newfound civilization. You will get to set up a camp as Arthur every time the gang is chased out of a place and into the next one they settle into. You will also get to know each member of this gang through the game as you go through life in the camp together.

The gang will engage in all sorts of activities that are not limited to fun, entertainment and mischief but also provision of supplies for the camp and its people to keep their morale high. The perspective of the world outside of the camp regarding Arthur depends on the player ability to use his guns to get out of any mess or through it. You get to choose how Arthur reacts to situations. You ultimately get to decide just how honourable a man Arthur gets to be while bearing in mind that actions have consequences.

The graphics have been improved such that the fighting and combat is all realistic, almost real and the weapons used also give the next best reaction to the real weapons. Bonds with animals are also as realistic as they would be in real life with the animal reacting to the treatment you give it. Your bond with your horse keeps getting better making it easier to control him or her. There is no shortage of weapons to choose from and carry along as you hunt or roam around. Hunting helps the camp or earns you money; when you wound an animal you have to track it. These animals can then be traded for money for daily use.

The game gets a thumbs up for the realistic detail in which everything is set and the action promises to be exhilarating as you run through the country; away from civilization and enemy gangs alike. The thrill is well worth waiting for. Check out more at the Official Rockstar Games site.
